Construction Begins on $12M Behavioral Health Center
 
 
The Lexington Richland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council broke ground on its $12.2 million 60,000 square foot behavior health center. Mashburn will build this new facility which is being built on Colonial Drive near Baptist Richland Hospital and will combine services and staff from three different offices throughout Richland County.

The multilevel facility will include a detoxification unit, administrative offices and a 125-seat training room, which will be available for rent by community groups. The center is seeking Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification for the facility. 

 
Groundbreaking begins for Kershaw Diagnostic Center and MOB
 
 
Groundbreaking for the $7 million 42,000 square foot two-story MOB  to include urgent carte, cardiology and imaging with x-ray, CT scan and MRI.
 
Appointments
 
Lynn Shealy has been appointed to the Carolinas AGC Board of Directors for 2009.
 
Lee Mashburn is the current Chairman of the March of Dimes Real Estate Committee.
 
Lee Mashburn has been appointed chair of the Midlands Region of the South Carolina District Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI South Carolina), a 501(3)c nonprofit research and education organization supported by its members. Lee has served on the organization’s statewide executive committee since 2006 and is a graduate of the ULI South Carolina Center for Sustainable Leadership founding class. The mission of the ULI is to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities. The South Carolina District Council, which has over 625 members and is chaired by LS3P’s Tom Hund, AIA, focuses on issues related to quality of growth and development, pursuing a statewide vision for responsible land use in recognition of the distinct qualities of the Upstate, the Midlands, and the Coastal regions of South Carolina. As the preeminent, multidisciplinary real estate forum, ULI facilitates the open exchange of ideas, information, and experience among local, national and international industry leaders and policy makers dedicated to creating better places.
 
Safety Banquet
 
Mashburn held their annual Safety Banquet.
With 64 employees in attendance, everyone had a wonderful time.

City of Isle of Palms Public Safety Complex Groundbreaking
 
 

Groundbreaking for the City of Isle of Palms Public Safety Complex, a 30,000 SF new public safety building to house both police and fire department headquarters. The building is three stories with garage/high bay space; offices and command centers, as well as living quarters for the firemen. Estimated completion for this project is May 19, 2009.
