Harry Mashburn – Chairman & CEO
Harry Mashburn has over forty years experience in the construction industry, beginning as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, upon graduation from North Carolina State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. His commercial construction career brought him to Columbia, South Carolina as the chief Field Engineer on the University of South Carolina basketball arena. He then went to work for a local construction company and later was Director of Construction for a real estate development company. This endeavor ultimately lead to the successful creation of Mashburn Construction Company in 1976. Harry recently completed his tenure as the National President of the Association of General Contractors (AGC). The AGC is the nation’s largest and oldest national construction trade association in the United States. AGC members include more than 32,000 construction firms across a variety of industries. Harry has dedicated his life to his company and his employees, and fosters a family environment with a keen sense for selecting, training and developing key people in management positions.
Lynn Shealy – President and COO
Lynn joined Mashburn Construction Company in 1985 and has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He has served in the Mashburn organization in several capacities and currently holds the position of President and Chief Operating Officer. As President and Chief Operating Officer, he is directly responsible to the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer for all company activities, including hiring and supervising Project Managers, Superintendents and all field personnel. He works closely with personnel and has first hand knowledge of all projects under construction. Lynn is also very involved in establishing company wide policies for the operations of Mashburn Construction.
Jane Andrews – Vice President Administration
Jane has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry beginning as an Administrative Assistant to the Owner of the company upon its incorporation in 1976. She advanced to Vice President Administration and is the Executive Assistant to the Owner/CEO and the President/COO. Her responsibilities include the management of the corporate office and the administrative staff. She oversees the daily operations of the office. She researches and maintains the company benefits and insurance programs for the employees, as well as assisting with the company’s marketing efforts and safety programs. Paul Mashburn – Vice President Coastal Divisions
Paul graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Building Science and Management. Paul joined Mashburn Construction Company in 1991. He rapidly progressed through the ranks from Superintendent to Project Engineer to Project Manager to Director of Integrated Services and now serves as Vice President Coastal Divisions. He has extensive experience in all aspects of building construction generated from a lifetime of involvement in the industry. Paul provides executive oversight throughout the construction phase of the project. Paul’s strengths are his managerial skills, depth of experience and his ability to view the job from many perspectives including the field employees, superintendent, designer and owner.
Lee Mashburn – Vice President New Business
H. Lee Mashburn, Jr. is Vice President New Business. Lee is a 1996 Civil Engineering graduate from the University of South Carolina. He previously worked in both the Estimating and Production departments then moved to Business Development. Currently, Lee works with clients during the planning and development stages of projects and helps manage the pre-construction process through contract negotiations. Lee is located at the corporate office in Columbia and spends much of his time working with the Charleston and Myrtle Beach offices focusing on client relations and business development.
Robert Parsons – Chief Financial Officer
Robert Parsons joined Mashburn Construction in August 2004. He graduated in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northeast University, Boston, MA and a MBA from Suffolk University in 1995. Robert is responsible for all finance, accounting, treasury, and information systems.
