Columbia, SC…Mashburn Construction is pleased to announce news for two of their employees. Paul Mashburn, President and Chief Operating Officer, has been elected Vice Chair of the Carolinas AGC Building Division. With 2,300 member firms, the Carolinas AGC is the largest construction trade association in the Carolinas and has been the nation’s largest chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America since 1920.
Dean Wilson, LEED® AP, Vice President of Columbia Operations, has been appointed by Governor Nikki Haley to the S.C. Building Codes Council. The Council oversees the adoption of building electrical, plumbing, mechanical, gas, fire, energy and property maintenance codes (referred to as building codes) by all cities and counties in the state and assists in use and interpretation when necessary. Mr. Wilson’s term will run through the year 2013.
