Mashburn Construction CEO Receives Hall of Fame Award
Columbia, S.C. — Paul Mashburn, Chief Executive Officer of Mashburn Construction, has been selected as one of five esteemed industry professionals to receive the 2023 Hall of Fame Award by Carolina Associated General Contractors (CAGC).
The Hall of Fame Award recognizes industry leaders who have made remarkable contributions to CAGC, the construction industry and the communities they serve. To qualify, nominees must be a past or present CAGC member, be at least 55 years of age and have been actively involved in CAGC and the construction industry for a minimum of 15 years. Paul will join his peers this summer in Asheville, NC for the 2023 Summit & Expo, during which recipients of the Hall of Fame Award and the Hall of Fame Legacy Awards will be recognized.
“It is a great honor to be recognized for the CAGC Hall of Fame Award,” says Paul Mashburn. “This organization has been an integral part of our company for more than two generations. I have fond memories of attending conventions as a young man in the late seventies and early eighties, and my children have enjoyed the same experience in recent years. CAGC has always been one of the largest and most influential chapters of Associated General Contractors (AGC) in the country. I am very proud of the way CAGC continues to tackle issues impacting our industry and provide programs and for professionals in all stages of their careers. My father, Harry Mashburn, always says that CAGC is a great strategic partner to any construction-related business, and I couldn’t agree more.”
Mashburn Construction has been a member of CAGC for more than 40 years and continues encouraging involvement from each of our four offices across South Carolina. Most recently, Richard Kinard, Executive Vice President of Mashburn Construction, was named Building Division Chair for the CAGC 2022 Board of Directors. The firm currently has eight employees involved in the CAGC Young Leaders, which focuses on the value of professional development, networking and community involvement to develop the next generation of industry leaders.
