Mashburn Construction dedicates over 220 community service hours for April

Columbia, S.C.—Mashburn Construction declared April as their “month of community service” for 2019. The company has been standing behind their effort to “build better communities” since 1976 and partnered with local non-profits all month long to further their impact on the community.

Between all of the Mashburn offices (Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, and Myrtle Beach), the company committed over 220 hours of community service in less than 30 days. Over 60 participants engaged in these efforts with over $15,000 dollars being raised, collectively with fundraising still ongoing.

Mashburn engaged in a statewide partnership with Home Works of America to provide home repairs to low-income homeowners. The Columbia team worked expeditiously to provide better access for double amputee, Mrs. Simpkins’ along with various upgrades to the exterior of the home. The Greenville team designed and built an entire wheelchair accessible ramp for disabled homeowner, Ms. Mathis and her disabled son. The Charleston team built a full backyard fence for Mr. Martin along with major debris removal.

In addition to Home Works of America, the Mashburn Columbia office partnered with the American Heart Association to raise a significant amount of money for the Midlands Heart Walk in early April. The Greenville office is currently partnered with the March of Dimes.

“We take extreme pride in dedicating time and resources to bettering our communities. Our vision to ‘build better communities’ charges us to be intentional about the impact we have beyond providing general contracting services to our clients. We are fortunate to have a team of selfless individuals that go above and beyond to support this mission,” says CEO Paul Mashburn.

In the last 3 years, Mashburn has contributed over $150,000 to non-profit organizations. Mashburn Construction Company continues to “build better communities” across the state by dedicating time and resources to the community and providing superior service and quality to clients in a wide range of markets.
