This historic renovation transformed a dilapidated, three-story home into office space for the College of Charleston’s English department. The building required new foundations, structural floor framing and porch repairs that included repairs to the columns and baluster. The project scope included window repairs, the addition of a wheelchair accessible ramp, new shutters and new MEP and sprinkler systems. The building had not had mechanical or sprinkler systems previous to the renovation. Mashburn simultaneously renovated the neighboring building for the same purpose.
