Overall, this was an upfit of roughly 16,000 SF into multiple lines of business for BB&T. The existing shell space had minimal lighting, HVAC, and fire suppression. Core and shell bathrooms were complete when we arrived. Mashburn took the project on a tight schedule and was responsible for the scope that included concrete patching, casework, doors, frames, hardware, storefront assemblies, drywall assemblies, paint, specialties, fire suppression, and MEP. Close coordination between the subcontractors was required to avoid getting behind schedule, while also minimizing disruptions to the other tenants in the building. Limited access to the space required coordination and advanced planning on deliveries as the access corridor and freight elevator had to be used. Mashburn protected the existing finishes in these areas to ensure there was no damage. The project was a success and final inspections were held two days prior to our scheduled date. The owner moved in on time and began business operations as they intended.
