Burton’s Grill & Bar

Located in the historic and unique Park Road Shopping Center, Burtons Grill & Bar offers upscale casual dining and is the restaurant’s first location in North Carolina. Our team completed the 5,887 SF upfit in a new outparcel building previously constructed by Mashburn. The space features a large expo kitchen (open for viewing by the public), dining areas, a large bar that seats over 30 people, and a large patio for outside dining. All the millwork in Burtons was custom, and a large portion of reclaimed walnut is used throughout the space in the feature walls, in the bulkhead around the kitchen and in the bar area.

The construction was coordinated to minimize disruption to the extremely popular, 425,000 SF shopping center. Mashburn’s crews coordinated deliveries, closings and detours with retailers and customers, and even shared a parking lot with two operational banks and a movie theater.

To meet the accelerated schedule, Mashburn initiated construction at the Owner’s request before final plans and details were determined. Though this created a considerable amount of modifications and revisions during construction, our team was still able to finish the project on time and on budget.
