Cantina 76 Expansion
Columbia, SC
Cantina 76 elected to expand its downtown location into the neighboring building, which provided the restaurant with additional seating, a bathroom, an office, storage and a walk-in cooler, as well as an expansion to the existing bar area. The new bar was constructed to seamlessly tie into the existing bar, which provided the restaurant with an almost 360 degree bar area. This project required extensive coordination with the owner so the work could be done at night when the restaurant was closed. Indoor-outdoor bi-folding doors were included in the addition to create a more open-air eating space. Mashburn completed the majority of the renovation behind a demising wall until coordination with the owner allowed Mashburn to demolish the existing wall, which tied everything together.
