Carolinas Hospital System Women’s Center Renovation

This project was the renovation of existing labor and delivery rooms including the corridors. Existing conditions, such as concealed plumbing and HVAC lines, were corrected once they were uncovered during demolition. Dust wall barriers were created to help minimize sound transmission and prevent construction dust from spreading the rest of the hospital. The Labor and Delivery and NICU demolition and renovations were completed on a compressed schedule, starting on October 1 and running through February 1. Our team worked around three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. Even with the holiday interruptions, Mashburn was able to achieve substantial completion on schedule.
