Grand Strand Lofts

Myrtle Beach, SC

This project was the historic redevelopment of a 14,000 SF “five and dime store” (that had been vacant for several years) into a 7,000 SF brewery on the first floor and 7,000 SF of 10 apartments on the second floor. The building is located in the Arts and Innovation District in downtown Myrtle Beach and served as part of the revitalization efforts in the downtown area.

The brewery and apartments fronted an upgraded Nance Plaza, a public space Mashburn renovated for the City of Myrtle Beach during the final phases of the brewery’s construction. The above brewery apartments were being listed as short-term rental spaces.

The units were renovated to reflect a modern, industrial look that would appeal to tourists looking to visit the Grand Strand area.
