International Praise Church of God

Elgin, SC

As the International Praise Church of God continued to grow at a considerable rate, they recognized the need to implement Phase I of their 40-acre master plan to provide additional necessary space. The church selected Mashburn Construction to build an addition to their existing facility. This new 25,000 square foot worship center gives the congregation a new sanctuary with riser seating, as well as hospitality areas, a spacious foyer, newly expanded nursery, choir and dance practice flex spaces, and administrative offices. The church’s original sanctuary will provide space for their rapidly growing youth ministries.

This project utilized the combination of three pre-engineered building structures with conventional wood and cold formed steel framing methods to achieve the contemporary design. The heavy steel steeple framing and foundation were unique design features that were critical to the success of the project.

During preconstruction, Mashburn provided value engineering services, reducing the budget by approximately $126,000. Our team developed an early site package that enabled us to complete the building pad while tripling parking capacity to support the growing church’s need for spaces. We also coordinated with the owner’s audio and visual contractor throughout the project’s completion.

Mashburn completed this project on schedule while minimizing disruption to the existing facility.
