Palmetto Health Richland Medical Park 5 Lobby
Columbia, SC
The project consisted of the selective demolition and renovation of enclosed space located at the main entrance to the Hospital. This was the most vital area of the facility – encompassing both the main entrance doors as well as the bank of elevators leading to all floors of the main hospital. Each phase had to be carefully delineated with partition walls and negative air into the construction space to maintain the infection control for the entire facility.
Scope included specific items such as phased removal of partitions, flooring, ceiling, casework, and finishes within the area of work; new work including the expansion of the entry vestibule with new automatic storefront doors; installation of new patterned terrazzo flooring; specialty 4×4 acoustical and metal ceilings; custom millwork including 3-form panels and reception desk; custom metal column wraps; new laser cut metal Palmetto logo; curved soffits and reconfigured partitions.
Our ability to accomplish all of this in the allotted time frame, within the allotted budget and within the provided limits of construction created a successful project and a satisfied client.
