Summerville Community Hospice House

This project utilized the Design-Build delivery method for construction of a 16,000 SF wood framed, 30-bed hospice facility located on a 7 acre site. The scope included a dining room, a laundry room, a lobby, a nurses’ work station, a family room/bereavement room/conference room, a living room, storage rooms, a data room, an electrical room, an area for housekeeping, a beauty shop and an administration office. Visitor’s restrooms were located off of the lobby and each of the client rooms included a private restroom. Exterior amenities included a porte-cochère, a sunroom/quiet room, one large covered screened porch on the exterior of the building and 2 smaller screened porches on the east/west of the building. Sitework included earthwork, storm drainage and water and sewage as well as paving.
