The Hangout

This project is a 40,000 sf two-story resturant, a sand playground, a tower slide structure, an ice cream parlor, event stage, a fire pit, a games building and other retail buildings. The restaurant is a conventional steel structure on wood piles and concrete grade beams. The exterior is a metal stud skin with rigid insulation and sheathing with painted Hardie siding. The first floor is a concrete slab on grade with LVT flooring and overhead doors at dining areas to open up to covered exterior dining areas. The first floor houses a full kitchen and a retail area. Building has one passenger and one freight elevator along with two sets of stairs. The second floor is a concrete slab with dining area around a large opening to the first floor dining room below where there is a stage for live performers. Elaborate LED lighting features were added to the space along with two extremely large flat panel TV’s one over each bar. The out buildings are mostly wood framed with Hardie siding, storefronts, canopies and metal accents at the Ice Cream shop.
