Trident Medical Center Labor and Delivery

This design-build project included the demolition of the old and construction of two new Labor & Delivery/C-Section operating rooms, built to comply with new DHEC regulations. Mashburn also added four new birthing suites, renovated five existing labor and delivery suites, and refurbished the hallway and nurses station.

A critical factor in the renovations and the interior design was to create an exceptional patient experience with a peaceful “spa-like” environment rather than the institutional hospital design of the past. Mashburn worked diligently to minimize disruption during construction to ongoing operations. Mashburn also provided preconstruction services for this project.
