Columbia, S.C.—Mashburn Construction is among the top companies of fundraisers for the American Heart Association’s 2019 Midlands Heart Walk. Mashburn and its sponsors raised a total of $13,600 to go towards helping fight heart disease and stroke.
With safety being a top priority of important values for Mashburn employees, heart health and overall wellness are also on the list. A team of employees, sponsors, and supporters participated in the Midlands Heart Walk on Saturday, April 6th to declare their support for heart health. Mashburn Construction Company has a full-time Wellness Coordinator on staff to help employees remain healthy and productive.
President, Lee Mashburn currently holds a seat on the Board of Directors for the American Heart Association (AHA) – Midlands. Lee says, “With an employee base of nearly 100 across the state, it is important to ensure safety and good health for our team. The work the AHA does to raise awareness for heart health is a mission that we want to support. We are grateful for many of our subcontractors and partners who helped contribute to the cause.”
