Mashburn Construction expands in Charleston, adds to Coastal Division

Charleston, S.C.—Mashburn Construction is pleased to announce the recent hire of three employees in the company’s Coastal Division. Additionally, the company is undergoing an expansion at their Charleston office to accommodate for the company’s coastal area growth. LS3P is the architect selected for the design.

Paul Mashburn, CEO of Mashburn Construction says, “Over the last two years, Mashburn’s Coastal Division has grown significantly. We are fortunate to be adding to the team with vastly skilled individuals to help us continue to deliver high-quality buildings and service to our clients. We are now expanding in both Charleston and Myrtle Beach with an addition to our Mt. Pleasant location and the full renovation of a downtown building in Myrtle Beach.”

The 1,800 SF expansion to our Mt. Pleasant office is just one facet of responsible growth the company is experiencing. Construction has already begun and is expected to finish in early fall of 2020. To support the expanded functions of various divisions and locations, three new hires have been added to the Coastal Division.

Chris Freitag has been hired as the senior superintendent for Mashburn’s Healthcare Division. He will be focusing on showcasing Mashburn’s abilities as a healthcare contractor in South Carolina’s coastal regions. Hailing from New York, Chris has lived in Charleston for about seven years and enjoys officiating basketball, boating and fishing with his family.

Reid Coyle has been hired as a preconstruction manager. As a preconstruction manager he is responsible for estimating the costs of potential work and providing schedules for Mashburn’s projects. After moving away for a few years, Reid was ready to return to his hometown of Summerville. He now spends his free time amongst friends and family, but you can always find him getting worked up over the University of South Carolina’s athletic programs.

Cannon Lynch has joined the Mashburn team as an assistant superintendent. In this role, he will help with daily field operations and assist lead superintendents with logistics, scheduling and the coordination of the work. He has a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from California Polytechnic State University. He moved from California to Charleston at the beginning of 2020 to be closer to his family.

The Coastal Division now boasts nearly 40 employees working on a multitude of projects. The firm continues to “build better communities” through superior service, quality, and dedication to its clients.
